At the first appointment our primary focus is getting to know you and your case to devise the best treatment action for your needs.
To get the most out of your appointment, come prepared with details about your symptoms which may include making a few notes about: when your symptoms started, what they feel like and if anything makes your symptoms worse or better.
A bag of all your foot ware that you wear regularly is very helpful too, don't be shy - suitcases of shoes are welcome!
We see all ages and divide our expertise into two streams. General foot care and services relating to the feet, ankles and legs for those who are active or looking to improve their pain or function. If you are someone suffering from ulcerations, we would suggest you access your local high risk foot clinic to best manage your needs.
- Any relevant scans and history of any recent injuries relating to your ankles, feet or legs, including a list of any medications or medical conditions you may have.
- A selection of your most commonly worn shoes worn in your everyday and activities [a bag or small suitcase is welcomed]
- GP referral is relevant such as an EPC plan or practitioner referral.
- Wear comfortable clothing, like activewear, that allows us to see from your knees to your feet.
If you have a valid enhanced primary care plan (EPC) or chronic disease management plan from your GP you will be able to claim a Medicare rebate for your appointment.
Yes, we use HICAPS. If your private health insurance covers podiatry you will be able to claim at the time of your appointment, providing you have your private health fund card with you.
No. However, if you have difficulty managing your feet and nails, or if you have a chronic condition, you may.
Our appointments change from 15 minutes through to 60 minutes depending on the type of service and level of complexity. Please see our fee schedule through our online booking system (Cliniko).
